Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Inspired by the work of the Brazilian philosopher and educator Paulo Freire,

I consider education an important tool to liberate society from systems of oppression. As a result, both my research practice and my teaching style are characterised by an intrinsic commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

In this blog you will find some reflections about my experiences while trying to make higher education more diverse and inclusive, ensuring that all students, regardless of their colour, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and ability benefit from an impactful learning experience. Occasionally, I will also use this space to recommend texts from scholars based in the Global South.

I hope you enjoy it!
